One of our patrons submitted this project idea using frames which abound in our bulk room!
Dated and damaged photo frame goes from shabby to chic with Chalk paint!
Supplies used: Folk Décor chalk paint (source: Michaels or JoAnn’s) base layer Parisian Grey, top layer Sheepskin. Light distressing. Clear wax.
If you aren’t familiar with chalk paint, it is a great way to refurbish items with little/no preparation. I just cleaned the frame to remove dust/soil and painted right on top of the finished wood and metal accent. The wax protects the paint and gives the frame a matte finish and a soft, buttery feel.
