Our mailboxes fill with brightly colored cards and flyers advertising sales or offering special discounts. Usually these are tossed directly into the recycle bin.

Shortly after Christmas a customer brought in two beautiful little Christmas trees made with this junk mail!

One of the larger cards was bent and formed into a cone.

Other flyers were cut into ½-inch wide strips, about 2½ long. The top of each small strips was glued around the bottom edge of the cone, the bottom tip then folded up. Overlapping layers were added round by round to fill up the cone, something like feathers.

Some of our younger shoppers are attracted to these unique trees:
They happily place them on their heads like party hats.

Great idea!!
