As I was passing through the bulk shopping area the other day, I noticed a bin full of pre-cut mats for pictures.

This is nothing unusual: The Scrap Box usually has mats already cut into a variety of sizes and ready for you to frame a picture.

On top of the container, however, I saw this interesting way to personalize a plain white mat: someone had glued (mod-podged?) pieces of a net bag around the edges and colored the beveled opening with a matching marker.

Best of all, those net fruit and vegetable bags are in the “Free Household Donation” room: the price is right!

(as always, if you are traveling a long distance for a particular scrap item, call ahead to be sure it’s available)
