Please note, we no longer have this item!

Case # 1 has wooden drawers, some painted.

The Scrap Box does not usually have furniture for sale, but this donation was too good to pass up. The old-fashioned library card catalogs would be perfect storage spaces for a collage artist, jeweler, or any craftsman who collects lots of small parts.
Because this is such an unusual (and generous) donation, we are conducting an auction from now through July 5, 2011. To place a bid, please go to our website.
UPDATE: bidding has ended.
The two library card catalogs each have 72 drawers. They stand on the floor, and are 4-feet 8-inches tall. They are 3-feet 6-inches wide, and 1-foot 7 3/4-inches deep (excluding the brass handles). One case has mostly wood drawers, with dovetail construction. The case itself is in good condition. The other case has wood-fronted drawers with metal and plastic boxes. The veneer is damaged on one side of this case.

Case #2 has painted drawer fronts, plastic drawer boxes.

Case #1 wood drawers, metal slides.

Case #1 dovetail drawer detail.

Case #2 solid (plastic) drawers, mostly.

All drawers have brass handles and nameplates

Please note, that The Scrap Box is unable to deliver these large heavy cabinets—the highest bidders will have to make their own arrangements.
